Apply for scholarships
Apply early.
University scholarships come in two forms: institutional and endowed funds. If you’re looking to snag a scholarship from UTC, you’ll need to complete a separate online application. Our scholarships are competitive, so make this a priority.
The last day to apply for fall 2023 consideration is Jan. 10, 2023.
Apply for financial aid and Education Lottery scholarships
More than 75 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid.
Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available Oct. 1. Apply as soon as it is available for optimum funding. You must file by April 1.
Apply for housing
Reserve your spot and start packing. You can select your room here.
It’s never too early to apply for a room in one of our premiere Residence Halls. You can submit an online housing application beginning February 1st for Fall 2023.
Check out UTC Dining for information about available, on-campus meal plans.
Sign up for orientation
Consider this your crash course for all things UTC. Reserve your spot online. Reservations begin October 1 for spring 2023 and January 20 for fall 2023.
Before registering for classes, consider your placement for certain courses. Learn more about math and English placement to know which classes you will be registering for (if you haven’t taken these classes already).
Complete the immunization form
The state of Tennessee requires all students enrolled in state colleges and universities to meet certain immunization criteria.
You must submit a completed immunization form to be eligible to register for classes.
Submit final college transcript and prior learning credit
Remember to send your final college transcript to the Admissions Office. We will add any pending coursework from your last institution to reflect the most accurate UTC academic record.
If you received AP, IB, Cambridge or CLEP credit at another college or university, you will need to resubmit your original score to the Admissions Office to receive appropriate credit at UTC.
Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about transferring your college courses to UTC. Call the Admissions Office at 423-425-4662 or 1-800-UTC-MOCS.

Pay your tuition and fees
Soon after registering for courses, the “Mocs Express Statement” will show up in your University email inbox. This statement breaks down what you owe for tuition, housing, meal plan and any other applicable fees. Credits for financial aid and scholarships will be on the statement as well.
Remember, if you don’t pay by the deadline, you will be dropped from your courses.
