To receive an admission decision, you must submit their online application, application fee, official high school transcript, official college transcripts (if applicable) and ACT/SAT score. We suggest ensuring ALL YOUR ACT/SAT Individual Test Scores are sent to UTC Admissions - This is the applicant's responsibility. |

The UTC Online Scholarship Application is available to all admitted students. Students wanting to apply for scholarships (institutional/first-time freshmen or endowed funds administered through our office) must complete a separate online scholarship application. You must be admitted to UTC to access the UTC Online Scholarship Application. As always, please keep in mind that all scholarships are competitive & funds are limited, so APPLY EARLY. Check out our Steps To Apply link for more information. We suggest ensuring ALL YOUR ACT/SAT Individual Test Scores are sent to UTC Admissions - This is the applicant's responsibility. Finally, be sure to review the web page for your department of study for any scholarship applications/opportunities they offer! |

Early Bird Scholarship Offers Begin for Fall'24 First-Time Freshmen - UTC begins making offers to admitted students who also completed the UTC Online Scholarship Application. Award notifications for first-time freshmen scholarships (the Chancellor's, Provost, & Mocs Scholarships) will be sent by email. We suggest ensuring ALL YOUR ACT/SAT Individual Test Scores are sent to UTC Admissions - This is the applicant's responsibility. |

Priority Deadline for Current High School Seniors who will be Fall'24 First-Time Freshmen - By this date, students must have a completed UTC Admissions file (application, application fee, high school transcript, and ACT/SAT score) with ALL qualifying test scores/GPA. We suggest ensuring ALL YOUR ACT/SAT Individual Test Scores are sent to UTC Admissions by this Dec1 Priority Deadline - This is the applicant's responsibility. |

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available for the 2024-2025 academic year. This application traditionally opens Oct1. However, the US Department of Education is making significant changes to the applications in an attempt to simplify it for students and families, thus the delay in opening. Students must complete the FAFSA to be considered for all other types of Federal and State financial aid at UTC. Early filing of the FAFSA is strongly encouraged as soon it becomes available. |

Endowed Scholarships Awarded - The awarding of endowed funds administered by our office occurs during this time. More information about these scholarships is found by choosing the Search UTC Scholarships link. Students receiving a renewable scholarship would not qualify for an endowed scholarship from our office. Students are ALWAYS encouraged to review the web page for their program of study for any scholarships they may offer. |

Document deadline for New Transfer Students - For UTC Transfer Scholarship consideration, new Transfer Students must have a completed UTC Admissions file (application, application fee, all college final transcripts, high school transcript, and ACT/SAT score) THEN must complete/submit the UTC Online Scholarship Application for consideration immediately after receiving notification of acceptance. |

Firm Scholarship Offers Begin for New Transfer Applicants - UTC begins making firm offers to admitted transfer students who met the June 1 document deadline & also completed the UTC Online Scholarship Application by July 1. Selected students receive email notification. |

UTC scholarship funds are limited and the awarding process is competitive. Meeting the eligibility requirements does not guarantee a student will receive a scholarship. The best way to improve your candidacy is to always submit all required materials as soon as possible. We suggest ensuring ALL YOUR ACT/SAT Individual Test Scores are sent to UTC Admissions by our December 1, 2023 priority deadline. |

Any first-time freshmen who 1) do not meet this priority deadline or 2) do not meet the eligibility criteria for the Chancellor's, Provost's, or Mocs Scholarships will be considered for those Endowed/Gift scholarship funds administered by the UTC Financial Aid & Scholarship Committee. Awarding of these endowed funds will not begin until May 2024. |

Any new transfer students who complete the online scholarship application by the July 1 final deadline but who 1) do not meet the June 1 document deadline or 2) do not meet the eligibility criteria for the Transfer Scholarship, will be considered for those Endowed scholarship funds administered by the UTC Financial Aid & Scholarship Committee. Awarding of these endowed funds will not begin until May 2024. |
