Contact UTC Police
For emergencies: 4357 on campus or 911
You may report suspicious or criminal activity along with any other emergencies by dialing the UTC Police Department at 423-425-4357 or by dialing ext. 4357 from a campus phone. The University has also instituted an emergency 911 system campus wide, so you may reach us by calling 911 from any campus phone.
Additionally, all blue light phones, red phones and elevator call buttons will connect directly to the UTC Communications Center, and your location will automatically register when calling from these campus devices so that help can be dispatched quickly.
We also recommend that you add the UTC Police Department's number (423-425-4357) to your mobile phone contact list. You may call 911 from your cell phone but calling the direct number often results in a faster response as our officers are closer. Any 911 calls that are not dialed from campus phones will be processed through the Hamilton County 9-1-1 Unified Emergency Communications District.
