Sunday, Aug. 21 

Welcome Sunday and Lunch with the Christian Student Center, 9:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Join us for a Sunday church service at one of our sponsor churched: Central Church of Christ. It is located right behind the Christian Student Center. The college class is held upstairs and starts at 9:30, then church service begins after Sunday school. After the church service is over, we will have lunch together for some fellowship and get to have a good Sunday afternoon with each other.

1 Million Cups Entrepreneurship Meetup, 9 a.m. - 10 a.m.

The Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship hosts the local chapter of 1 Million Cups (1MC) most Wednesday mornings at 9:00am. During Welcome Week, Sean & Taylor Barclay with Social AniMall and Carla Durham Eischeid with Doggie Doos of Chattanooga will present. UTC students, faculty and staff are invited. Based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and engage with their communities over a million cups of coffee, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation developed 1 Million Cups in 2012—a free program designed to educate, engage and inspire entrepreneurs around the country.

Welcome Back Concert Featuring Wale, 8:15 p.m. - 10 p.m.

Join the Office of Student and Family Engagement and the Office of Multicultural Affairs at our Welcome Back Concert featuring Wale on Saturday, August 27 in McKenzie Arena! Doors open at 7:30 p.m. Show starts at 8:15 p.m. The Welcome Back Concert is free and open to currently enrolled UTC students only. Must present valid UTC ID at the door for entry. A clear bag policy will be enforced.
