Students that live in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina or Virginia have a new opportunity to attend UTC at a discounted rate.


Border State Rate
Students residing in states that touch Tennessee (plus South Carolina) pay $8,956 per semester.

Standard Rate
Students residing in states that do NOT touch Tennessee (except South Carolina) pay $12,983 per semester.
How can a student receive the Border state discount for fall 2022?
After a student has been accepted and then registered for classes, the border state waiver will be automatically applied to their account.
The Border state rate is only available to Undergraduate students.

2 Fiscal Note 2: The bordering states that qualify an out of state student to be eligible for this rate includes Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Arkansas, Missouri, and South Carolina. Contact the Admission’s Office regarding student residency questions.
