The photographer’s schedule operates on a first come/first serve basis by submitting requests into the online request form.
In general, scheduling priority defaults to those events that impact the largest campus community (such as commencement, homecoming events or news that affects all of campus). Our office maintains an updated list of area freelance photographers who can be contracted to shoot an event in case we are not able to cover it.
In the rare case that we need to reschedule, advance notice will be provided. In the event of competing requests, it may be necessary to shorten regular shooting sessions to accommodate others, recommend the hiring of freelance photographers or reschedule a shoot.
Please schedule staff and faculty headshots via email. For website consistency, official university headshots are taken outdoors with a similar background. If headshots are needed for multiple members of a team, a block of time may be reserved to accommodate. Subject will receive a selection of unedited photos, and the chosen shot (provide the file number) will then be edited and archived, and then provided to you for inclusion on your website. Student headshots may be requested for university-related usage only. Examples include student employee shots for a department webpage, SGA members and student ambassadors. Linked In profile images, for example, will not be scheduled.
Images are organized and archived on UTC's Photoshelter page. Select an image to download, and you will be prompted to sign up for a required, free Photoshelter account. If you need to download photos on a regular basis, contact us for more extensive download privileges.
