WCTL Faculty Fellows in Course Development
Faculty Fellows in Course Development 2021-2022
About the Program
The Faculty Fellows in Course Development program supported two cohorts of faculty who explored eight content modules devoted to course design and teaching innovation.
The cohort worked through the modules in a self-paced fashion over the course of six to eight weeks, posting short video overviews of their progress in Canvas. The cohort interacted with one another through an orientation session, the online discussion board, and the final gathering. This program enabled us to pilot and test the program now called iDEAs, an online program that has been made available to all UTC faculty.
The eight modules, which cover over 70 topics, are as follows:
- Overall Course Design
- Student Retention and Success
- Creating Active Learning Environments
- The Science of Learning
- Equity-Oriented Pedagogy
- The Diverse Classroom
- Experiential Learning
- Library-Based Activities
